Tapered Pins

Metric Taper Grooved Pins are solid pins that the diameter increases uniformly along the length of the pin have 3 grooves down the side of them.
Metric taper pins have a 1:50 taper which means that for every 50mm in length the diameter increases by 1mm. The nominal size is the diameter of the small end on the pin.

Grooved Taper Pins

The diameter of a Metric Groove Pin is intended to be larger than the hole in which it is inserted.
