DIN 6796 Metric Safety Spring Washers are a conical spring washer used with threaded fasteners to counteract the effects of settling of a bolted joint. Safety Spring Washers are designed to prevent loosening of fasteners that are subject to thrust loads.

DIN 6796 is intended for use with Property Class 8.8 and 10.9 fasteners.
DIN 6796 Safety Spring Washers do not effectively prevent loosening of bolted joints that are subjected to varying radial loads
