Metric STI Taps are a type of cutting tool used to cut threads into a hole to prepare that hole for a Metric Helical Thread Repair Inserts. Metric Helical Thread Repair Inserts are diamond shape coiled wires that are used to repair damaged internal threads. STI Tap stands for Screw Thread Insert and STI Taps are specifically designed to be used only with the corresponding Helical Thread Insert.
