Banjo Fittings
Banjo fittings are designed to be used with hydraulic tubing in conjunction with hollow screws. Metric & Multistandard has steel banjo fittings in metric sizes. The banjo fittings are hollow in the long end. The long end is attached to the end of a section of hydraulic tubing. The open round end is designed to fit over the body of the appropriate size hollow screw. The hollow screw has a hole in the body to allow fluid to flow into it. The hollow screw is tightened into the machinery with the banjo fitting attached to it so that the hole in the hollow screw lines up with the hole inside the open end of the banjo fitting. This allows fluid to flow through the whole assembly.
It is important to look carefully at the specifications for the banjo fittings and hollow screws to make certain that the correct sizes are ordered. The sizes are nominal and the nominal sizes of the banjo fittings and the hollow screws are not the same. Metric & Multistandard’s catalog has all of these specifications shown on page for hollow screws and banjo fittings
