Specialty Drills
Metric & Multistandard offers a number of specialty drills appropriate for numerous drilled whole needs. Extra-short twist drills also referred to as screw machine length twist drills, come in a very large diameter range (1mm-20mm).
Reduced shank twist drills come in a number of larger sizes, ranging from 10.5mm up to 20mm with increments of .5mm. Reduced shank drills are made of super high speed steel, right handed jobber length, that come with a straight shank with a 118 degree point angle. Reduced shank twist drills are most commonly used in a job requiring a standard drill chuck. These drills can be found in the MMCC catalog on page 5-512.

Extra-long twist drills are also referred to as Aircraft-length drills, come in many sizes, ranging from 1.5mm up to 16mm in diameter. Most of the diameters are offered in .5mm increments, with each diameter available in multiple lengths. Extra-long twist drills are right-handed, straight shank drills made of super high speed steel.
